पुरिसदम्मसारथी,
लोकविदू अनुत्तरो;
सत्थादेवमनुस्सानं,
बुद्धं तं पणमाम्यहं.

Purisadammasārathī,
Lokavidū anuttaro;
Satthādevamanussānaṃ,
Buddhaṃ taṃ paṇamāmyahaṃ.

I bow to the Buddha,
Trainer of men,
Incomparable knower of all the worlds,
Teacher of gods and humans alike.
