Paṭhamabrahmaññasuttaṃ	About Being a Brahmañña and the Fruits Thereof
Sāvatthinidānaṃ.	This was laid down in Sāvatthi.
“Brahmaññañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi, brahmaññaphalāni ca.	“I will teach you, Bhikkhus, what is Brahminhood and what are the fruits of Brahminhood.
Taṃ suṇātha. Katamañca kho, bhikkhave, brahmaññaṃ?	Therefore listen! What, Bhikkhus, is Brahminhood?
Ayameva ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo, seyyathidaṃ– sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāsamādhi.	It is this very Noble Eightfold Path, which is right view, … right concentration.
Idaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, brahmaññaṃ.	This is, Bhikkhus, what is called Brahminhood.
Katamāni ca, bhikkhave, brahmaññaphalāni?	What, Bhikkhus, are the fruits of Brahminhood?
Sotāpattiphalaṃ, sakadāgāmiphalaṃ, anāgāmiphalaṃ, arahattaphalaṃ– imāni vuccanti, bhikkhave, brahmaññaphalānī”ti.	These are the fruit of entering the stream, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning and the fruit of becoming an arahant. These, Bhikkhus, are the fruits of Brahminhood.”

Dutiyabrahmaññasuttaṃ	The Purpose of Being a Brahmañña
