Buddhasahassanāmāvali - Verse 113

Verse 113

धम्मलद्धो अत्थलद्धो,
मुत्तिलद्धो लद्धतथो;
बुद्धं तं पणमाम्यहं.
Dhammaladdho atthaladdho,
Muttiladdho laddhatatho;
Buddhaṃ taṃ paṇamāmyahaṃ.
I bow to the Buddha,
Who had accomplished Dhamma and realized the meaning of it,
Attained liberation and understood reality in depth,
And had perfected all the thirty paramitas.1

  1. laddho (abs. of labhati) - attained, reached, received
  2. attha - meaning
  3. mutti - liberation
  4. tatha - truth, reality
  5. tiṃsa + pāramī - thirty + pāramitas

[1] a sammāsammbuddha fulfils each pāramita in a threefold way: ordinary pārami; higher perfections-upapārami; and highest perfection-paramattha pārami: dāna: giving wealth is dāna pārami, giving some parts of one’s body to help is dāna upapārami; giving up one’s life for the benefit of another is dāna paramattha pārami
