Verse 62

सन्तचित्तो दन्तचित्तो, 
वसीचित्तो वुसितवा; 
सुचिचित्तो रुचिचित्तो, 
बुद्धं तं पणमाम्यहं.

Santacitto dantacitto, 
Vasīcitto vusitavā; 
Sucicitto rucicitto, 
Buddhaṃ taṃ paṇamāmyahaṃ.

I bow to the Buddha,
Who possessed a tranquil mind, tamed and subdued,
A mind, very pure and brought to splendorous perfection.

[1] ‘Vasī’ refers to the ability and mastery to enter at will, maintain, emerge and review the jhanā. It is described as ‘the five masteries’ (pañca vasīyo). These are the mastery in adverting (āvajjanavasī), mastery in entering (samāpajjanavasī), in resolving (adhiṭṭhānavasī), in emerging (vuṭṭhānavasī) and in retrospection (paccavekkhaṇavasī).
