… “No ce maṃ anussareyyātha, atha dhammaṃ anussareyyātha: |
… “If you do not remember me, then you should recollect the Dhamma thus: |
‘Svākkhāto bhagavatā dhammo |
‘Clearly expounded is the teaching of the Blessed One, |
sandiṭṭhiko akāliko |
to be seen for oneself, giving results here and now, |
ehipassiko opaneyyiko |
inviting one to come and see, leading straight to the goal, |
paccattaṃ veditabbo viññūhī’ti. |
capable of being realized by any intelligent person.’ |
Dhammañhi vo, bhikkhave, anussarataṃ yaṃ bhavissati bhayaṃ vā chambhitattaṃ vā lomahaṃso vā, so pahīyissati.” |
Indeed, Bhikkhus, if you remember the Dhamma in this way whatever fear or stupefaction you may have, whatever hairs may stand on end, all that will vanish.” |
