Buddhasahassanāmāvalī - A Garland of a Thousand Praises to the Buddha

Verse 9

महावीरो महाधीरो,
महासूरो महब्बलो;
महामारचमू मद्दि,
बुद्धं तं पणमाम्यहं.

Mahāvīro mahādhīro,
Mahāsūro mahabbalo;
Mahāmāracamū maddi,
Buddhaṃ taṃ paṇamāmyahaṃ.

I bow to the Buddha,
Who was brave and wise,
Courageous and strong,
And who vanquished the great army of Mara.
