Buddhasahassanāmāvali - Verse 24
अत्तसरणमनुसासि, नेपक्को अनुसासको; धम्मसरणमनुसासि, बुद्धं तं पणमाम्यहं.
Attasaraṇamanusāsi, Nepakko anusāsako; Dhammasaraṇamanusāsi, Buddhaṃ taṃ paṇamāmyahaṃ.
I bow to the Buddha, Who taught to take refuge in oneself and in Dhamma, Who was a discriminating seer and a strict disciplinarian.
- attasaraṇamanusāsi - taught to take refuge in oneself
(atta + saraṇaṃ +anusāsi (aor. of anusāsati - oneself + refuge + taught)
- nepakko - a discriminating seer
- anusāsako - instructor, giving advice
- dhammasaraṇamanusāsi - taught to take refuge in Dhamma.
