Seeing danger in indolence,
Security in effort;
Upholding energetic effort,
This is the teaching of the Buddha.

Seeing danger in dispute,
security in concord;
Dwelling together in amity,
This is the teaching of the Buddha.

Seeing danger in heedlessness,
security in vigilance;
Cultivating the Eightfold Path,
This is the teaching of the Buddha.
