Yamakavaggo - Sārañca sārato ñatvā Perceiving the Essential

Asāre sāramatino,
sāre cāsāradassino;

Perceiving the nonessential as essential,
What is essential they regard as dispensable,
Te sāraṃ nādhigacchanti, micchāsaṅkappagocarā. Thus attached to the wrong kind of thoughts
They will never realize the essence.

Sārañca sārato ñatvā,
asārañca asārato;

 Perceiving the essential as essential, What is nonessential they regard as dispensable,
Te sāraṃ adhigacchanti, sammāsaṅkappagocarā. Thus attached to the right kind of thoughts
They will realize the essence.
