Ekapuggalavaggo	The One Person
“Ekapuggalo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṃ.	“There is one person, Bhikkhus, when arising in the world, he arises for the well-being of many, for the happiness of many, out of compassion for the world, for the benefit, the welfare and happiness of Gods and men.
Katamo ekapuggalo?	Who is this one person?
Tathāgato arahaṃ sammāsambuddho.	It is the Tathāgata, the Arahant, the Sammāsambuddha.
Ayaṃ kho, bhikkhave, ekapuggalo loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānan”ti.	This person, Bhikkhus, when arising in the world, he arises for the well-being of many, for the happiness of many, out of compassion for the world, for the benefit, the welfare and happiness of Gods and men.”

Imassa kho, bhikkhave, ekapuggalassa pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmin”ti.	This, Bhikkhus, is the appearance of one person that is so rare to encounter in this world.”
