Pāli Transliteration Language (Encoding)
Rules:
- If a word begins with a Devanagari vowel, use upper case notation in the encoding.
- There is not need to type a अ except when a word begins with it.
- The encoding matching is greedy, i.e. it tries to match longest sequence of letters in the Encoding, e.g. jhaj is translated to jhāja झाजTo stop the greedy matching at the character, add a '?' suffix, e.g. type j?haj to get jahāja जहाज.
- Use , for halanta consonants, e.g. pha is translated to pha फ and not as pha प्ह. To get halanta p, add a ',' suffix, e.g. to make pha प्ह type p,ha.
