3.1.5 Perfectly Pure* - part 1

This was explained in Sāvatthi: “There are, O’ Bhikkhus, eight Dhammas that are utterly pure and completely spotless, without any stain left on them and undefiled. They have not arisen before and arise only when the Tathāgata, an Arahant, the Sammāsambuddha appears.

What are these eight? They are right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right awareness and right concentration. These are O’ Bhikkhus, eight Dhammas that are utterly pure and completely spotless, without any stain left on them and undefiled. They have not arisen before and arise only when the Tathāgata, an Arahant, the Sammāsambuddha appears.”
